Attachment-oriented parenting and family support

For more than 20 years, I worked as an early childhood educator in the Basel area, most recently as a daycare center director until the birth of my daughter in 2021.

As I have always been very interested in what children need to grow up feeling safe and secure, I completed a part-time training course in experience-oriented family counseling at the Danish Institute for Family Therapy (dfti) between 2013 and 2016. This profound experience opened up a new world for me, and over the years I wanted to learn more and more about attachment, so I steadily deepened my knowledge of parent-child relationships. This was followed by numerous further training courses and my self-employment as an attachment-oriented family counselor in 2016.

After my time off as a mother, my focus evolved for personal reasons. The question, “How can parents successfully navigate this intense initial period with their own family without losing themselves in the process?” increasingly occupied my thoughts.

I finally arrived at nervous system work. In my opinion, there is nothing more effective than training parents and educational professionals to recognize attachment behavior and their own protective strategies so that being with children can finally feel easy. ​​​

For our Kidszone GmbH daycare centers, I am the contact person for all questions relating to the well-being of children, I conduct internal training courses on the topics of attachment, boundaries, and anger, and I also make my knowledge and experience available to parents. ​​
